Our residential mental health facility in Riverside uses a combination of therapies and treatments proven effective for treating mental health concerns in youth. For example, your child may engage in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family therapy, art and music therapy, and other activities. Medication management is available as needed. Clients who receive medication get consistent, thorough monitoring and support from qualified medical providers alongside therapy.
While Willow Hills Wellness is a primary mental health facility, we also offer adolescent addiction treatment for minors facing co-occurring substance abuse. Youth with substance use disorders tend to face psychological and physical illness at higher rates. That said, early intervention can prevent severe long-term consequences of using drugs and alcohol. Furthermore, dual-diagnosis treatment (which addresses both addiction and mental health in those facing both substance abuse and co-occurring disorders) is linked to better treatment outcomes.
